Thanks for everything. We received the package in the mail and the conversion went down smoothly. She sounds better than ever. the Hammond sounds great too. Thank you so much. I know a few other people that has the same problem with their Wurlitzer so I'm going to refer them to you. thanks again PEACE

I just wanted to give an overdue shout out to Steven Hayes at Speakeasy for patient and enthusiastic tech support with my Clone preamp. I was having trouble with the gain structure getting the tone I wanted, and he helped me through my problems. Interestingly, it turns out that my old Roland line mixer was sucking the tone out of the Speakeasy somehow. When we removed it from the equation, suddenly I had the fat tone I had expected to hear.
What is even more remarkable is that I bought the preamp used from a list member instead of from the company. That made no difference to Steven, who just wants to make sure that everyone using his creations is happy with their choice. It's an excellent product backed by excellent service.

Within an hour of posting my question, I got a call from Steven Hayes, President of Speakeasy Vintage Music. He personally answered my questions and we talked for quite a while. I've never had customer service like this in my entire life! I want my voice to the chorus that sings "not just great preamp, great company".

I just received my first product from you. It is the sustain pedal with the rod. It works great! This is the first time that I got to experience using sustain on a Rhodes. I love it. Expect more orders from me!

I just wanted to take a second to say how great the guys at Speakeasy are! I stopped up there last week to drop off a Rhodes that needs some work. Since I was coming up, Steve asked me to bring along my Vintage Tube Preamp. He had made some updates & wanted to adjust mine to the current specs. They didn't charge anything, not even for the labor. I can't think of any other company that will update a piece of gear for free. Plus, they did it while I was there because I can't leave it there to be done since I use it several times a week for various bands. Speakeasy definitely stands out in front of the pack for customer service.

I did have the Stereo Classic version and sold that one to a list member and bought the first one built of the Speakeasy Rolls Royce i.e. Stereo rack with a switch for Classic/Howler on both channels (it is a killer unit).
I also did get this excellent customer support, when I received my Classic/Howler I did have a fuzz in the sound but didn't expect the Speakeasy at first because I had made some major changes in my system. However Steve did mail me pretty soon and alert me of this fuzz problem, he had received a bad batch of 230V Power transformers (the factory made his transformers to the wrong spec.). Did receive a new power transformer from Steve and no more fuzz in the sound.
For the record I don't live in USA but in Finland so what more can I say, they do take care of business!!

As much as I love the sound of the Speakeasy, I think I am more impressed by the way this company has stood behind their product and protected my back. As a working musician on the road, I can't tell you what an anomaly that approach is. There are some fine companies out there, but I have NEVER seen any company go to these lengths, much less on THEIR dime.
So whether you're thinking of starting with a Shotglass or going with the Rolls Royce of the product line, rest assured, you WILL be taken care of to your satisfaction. Way to go Steve, and everyone else at Speakeasy. Thanks for everything!

I visited the Speakeasy Vintage Music shop this past Friday, and I was suitably impressed. Steve and his team provide excellent service. There is no question that these guys are willing to go the extra mile and provide a level customer service that is rare to find nowadays. I also dropped off one of my Wurlis to be restored, and I'm looking forward to the job that they will be doing on it. These folks are the real deal.

I just wanted to say thanks again for the expert and attentive service I received with the repair of my vintage Vox Continental organ. It was a pleasure dealing with you and your extremely thorough staff. Hope we have an opportunity to do business again!
Best of Luck,

Well, the amp made it through the weekend and I couldn't be happier. The tone is great and she's running dead quiet. The only problem is that this amp may be a little too true (I can't hide my mistakes as I can w/ the polytone). I've got her dialed in w/ most controls set near middle position and it is incredibly faithful; what you put into it is definitely what comes out and the dynamics are very sensitive. Reverb is wonderful too... Anyhow, thank you again, you did a fantastic job bringing this one around. See ya' next time...

I can't believe the value you get out of your Rhodes products, you just don't compare to anyone else out there. I like the fact that you are all musicians helping musicians, and I feel like I can trust the work you do. There are a lot of shady guys out there dealing vintage, Speakeasy's a rare find.

Just a short note to say thanks for your patience in helping me to get what I wanted. The CV and the Leslie are in good working order and sound great. Keep up the good work.
