[Description]

The Rhodes MkI Stage piano is essentially the same as the Fender Rhodes MkI Stage piano – names and logos were changed to remove the Fender name from the instrument.

At about the same time, there were other changes made but they didn’t stricktly follow the name change.

During this era the tines and hammers were revised resulting in a subtile but definite change in tone. In addition the Suitcase also saw a change in electronics.

The Rhodes MkI Suitcase utilized the “Janus” 100 watt system (aka 5 pin) replacing the Fender Rhodes MkI Suitcase model’s 80 watt “Peterson” system (aka 4 pin).
