Red Grand 200The Grand 200 is a classic Wurlitzer Electro-piano, re-manufactured by Speakeasy, with a recolored top in your choice of colors. Same top notch re-manufacturing as always and the top is professionally re-colored using multi-layered base coat and covered with a multi-layered clear coat for years of durability.

Unlike any “homemade” jobs you may have seen, this isn’t going to be flaking and chipping of the cover.

RBMkIIISteve sat down this week and did some on camera playing of a crusty old A100 from our “Boneyard” piped through the Roadbox III (SE122) and Submon subwoofer. rs-tounge-tn.jpgFor those of you who may not know, Chuck Leavell is a master of the piano and has been with the Rolling Stones since about 1988.

One of the staple instruments he uses with the Stones is a Wurlitzer piano - just like the ones we restore and sell here at Speakeasy. So, when the time came for one of his Wurlitzers to be overhauled, Speakeasy was chosen for the restoration.

We’ll post a pic or two later as time permits, but in the meantime we’re thrilled to be able to serve up our level of expertise to such a consummate professional as Mr. Leavell.

In the mean time, if you’re looking for more information on Chuck Leavell, take a look at his website, you’ll find that being the keyboardist/piano player for the Rolling Stones is just the tip of the iceberg for this mans impressive list of achievements!
