[Description]

There’s nothing like the sound of a Hammond™. There are clones that come close, but nothing matches the sound, sight, smell, and feel of the genuine article.

Our chops are no exception to this – built from fully restored, home kept, A100 series organs our “chops” are the top of the line.

Some may tell you that an A100 isn’t a B3, but it’s not true. An A100 is a B3 + Speakers, Reverb, and Amplifiers. Once seperated from these “extra parts” they are exactly the same as a B3 (or a C3 for that matter).

We remove the generator, preamp, and manuals from the old A100 case and then place the whole rig in a Service Jig where we fully restore the entire instrument. Then we install the fresh like new assemblies into our specially built cabinet which is made from Formica venered PATTERN GRADE PLYWOOD – No MDF, no shag carpeting, no tolex – the last thing you want is a road organ that’s going to break or rip the first time you load up for a gig!

Here’s a list of what we do and what options are available – want something different? Just ask!

  • Scanner Cleaning and Rebuld
  • Buss Bar Cleaning and Lube
  • Key Action rebuilt – including setting the tension back to factory specs.

  • Remote Swell w/ Ernie Ball™ pedal (no messy mechanical system)
  • Metal corner protection
  • Removeable wheels

We sure do, our Tube Tone Booster gives your bass and treble control. For prices though, you’ll have to contact Steve via steve@speakeasyvintagemusic.com or 717.292.0814

Hello, ballpark how much is one of your chopped rigs w/no pedal system, remote swell, reverb, eq?(do you have something to have an eq?)

  3. Ted Says:

That’s correct. If you find one, take a look that the metal plate below the drawbars. Notice how it ends before the organ does? Over on the right end, it stops short because the RT case is wider then the B/C cases and the same metal from the B/C cases was used for the wider RT case.

You’ll also notice screw holes in the base of the music desk for the same reason.

As long as the pedals are to be discarded, there is no difference in the resulting Roadbox organ.

    Hey Steve/Ted,

Just wanted to confirm that a Hammond RT-3 is indeed a B3/C3 with a modified pedalboard system.

I am beginning to fool around with the idea of having you guys do a chop for me, and just wanted to make sure if I found an RT-3, you guys could do all the work described on this page and it would be sonically and functionally indistinguishable from a B3 aside from the bass pedals, which I’m not concerned with.

In other words, it’s my understanding that you guys can make a chop from a B3, C3, A100 series, and an RT-3. Does that sound right?

    Thanks much!

That will depend greatly on the condition of the A-100. Give Steve a call (717-292-0814) and he can fill you in on the details.

How much to do my A-100 with no bass pedals?
