If you are interested in getting the authentic Hammond Organ sound in a more portable package, look no further. Our owner and senior engineer has been building chopped Hammond organs since 1977, and we are currently building the third generation of Speakeasy Vintage Music Road Organ.
Speakeasy Road Organ (Pedals and Bench optional)
Our Hammond Road Organ, often known in the Hammond Organ world as an organ chop or chopped organ, provides you with all of the sound and functionality of a Hammond B3 for less money, less weight, and less hassle. These organs are made by installing a Hammond C-3 or a Hammond A-100 into our Road Case.
The C-3 and A-100 are Hammond Organs which have the exact interior workings as a Hammond B3 organ, but were sold in different cases and marketed to different groups of people. The Hammond C-3 Organ was a B3 in a church case, which was heavier than the B3 case and didn't have the four legs. These cases are a bit front-heavy and tend to tip over when moved. The Hammond A-100 Organ was a B3 marketed to the high-end home organist. Again, it had the same interior workings and features as the B3, only in a smaller case and with built-in speakers (which we remove when we chop the organ).
