[Introduction]

The “Rhodes”™ is a very special instrument and has it’s own special needs, this is especailly true in the case of the all passive STAGE model.  Here’s a run down of our offerings, from the entry level up.

[Stagebox]

It’s unique properties start with being a very low impedance signal source which is a poor match for many of today’s amplifiers.  Enter the StageBox – a simple no frills answer to bump up the drive into your combo amp or mixer – it delivers better sound though a more robust signal.

[Dyno Stagebox]

For those who want some control, we have our recreation of the Dyno-My-Piano PianoPro Preamp (generally known as a “Dyn0 Preamp”) unlike the original, ours comes in a sturdy chassis and is made to live OUTSIDE the piano.  That allows you to not only move it from on Rhodes to the next with ease, but to also try it out with virtually any signal source you’d like.  Check out what it does for the Nord Hammond sound in the last 2 demo clips.

[Dyno Demo]

In the playlist below, Peter Hayes of Magnolia Bolthead uses two Rhodes™ and a Nord to demo the Speakeasy Stagebox Preamp. In each case you’ll hear a “plain jane” recording of the instrument and then the same passage played through our Dyno Stagebox.

You’ll notice that, even on the Nord Rhodes™, the preamp brings out the brilliant overtones just as it does on a real vintage Rhodes™.

[Dyno Vibrato Pedal]

This is our Dyno StageBox preamp and Vibrato pedal combined into a single unit.  It has all the same tonal features of the Dyno with a faithful replication of Rhodes Suitcase Ping-Pong Vibrato.  It’s very important to remember that 2 separate channels are needed for the vibrato effect to be heard.

[Dyno Hybrid Suitcase]

Our top of the line offering has all the features of the units above – Dyno EQ, Ping Pong Vibrato, AND a vacuum tube output stage all packed in a 2 space rack chassis.

Now this tube won’t give you a Fender™ Twin growl but what it does give you is that nice round organic tone that only a true transformer coupled class A vacuum tube output stage can.
