[Description]

One of the many possible GigRig configurations
The speakeasy GigRig is a specially selected combination of components meant to be the last word in On Stage amplification.
It is composed of 4 main items:
- A two channel Speakeasy Vintage Tube Preamp
- A Power Amplifier
- A pair of our Roadbox Reference Monitors
- Rack Case(s) (optionally available with wheels and luggage-like trolley handle)
The true magic of the system comes from it’s Vintage Tube Preamp and it’s speakers. We take commercially available speaker cabinets and perform special modifications to it’s crossover and add drivers to create a FLAT response curve which brings out the fullness of tone that most stock modern speaker cabinets can’t touch.
By using a special overlapping 3 way crossover scheme the midrange, critical to most keyboard tones, is restored. The result is a rich full tone that cuts through on stage provides the proper acoustic balance to let you, and your audience, hear the true rich full tone your keyboard is capable of!
[Options]
This system is not a single “one size fits all” deal like some other companies might offer. It comes in various configurations withRB10, RB12, or RB15 cabinets; Optional Bass Bin; and can be ordered with or without a small mixer for those with larger, multi-keyboard setups.
It is for this reason that you MUST call to discuss what you need.

I bought the smaller (10″) speakers a few weeks ago , and combined them with the speakeasy modeling amp, using only the preamp part, Crown 2500 pwer amp, and Peavey 8 channel mixer. I played for a church retreat in south Mississippi under an open air church (it had a roof but open sided), and the system was essentially the PA system for over 200 people. In addition to my keyboard (Yamaha Motif XF8), we hooked two mikes in the system, but ran the mikes outside of the keyboard preamp.
I have never heard a clearer, more powerful sound! The audience was blown away at the clarity and quality of the music, and ALL the keyboard sounds (piano, pads, strings etc) were wonderful! Am playing a jazz gig in 2 weeks and cant wait! Thanks Speakeasy!
