Solutions Series GigRig Speaker Systems
The true magic of the system comes from it’s Vintage Tube Preamp and it’s speakers. We take commercially available speaker cabinets and perform special modifications to it’s crossover and add drivers to create a FLAT response curve which brings out the fullness of tone that most stock modern speaker cabinets can’t touch.
122AMA (Absolute Modeling Amplifier) Preamp
The final link in the emulation of the “tonewheel” sound, the AMA is a Leslie™ amp in miniature.
Ever since the first amplifier was created Engineers have sought to make it perfect. IN the case of vacuum tube designs it was always a trade off.
Rhodes™ Preamps
The “Rhodes”™ is a very special instrument and has it’s own special needs, this is especailly true in the case of the all passive STAGE model. Here’s a run down of our offerings, from the entry level up.
Speakeasy "Vintage Tube" Preamps
While originally conceived for the Clonewheel keyboard, the Vintage Tube Preamp can do wonders for almost any sort of audio. By broadening the range of the tone controls, todays preamps can deliver the same sort of dynamic harmonic response for synth and sampled sounds. Even a few DJs have added the Speakeasy flavor to their shows!
Re-manufactured Vintage Wurlitzer Pianos
Our “boneyard” has many examples and several models, but when you order one it is rebuilt to Model 200 specifications.
Roadbox Mk II
Our Speakeasy Road Box Speaker is built with premium pattern grade plywood, and coated with an ultra-durable polymeric finish. This industrial coating is virtually indestructible. Our Road Box Speaker cases are built to the exact dimensions of a shorter vintage Leslie™ (model 145 or 142), so that they are useful for many applications.

I purchased a pre-amp interface for my hybrid stage/suitcase Rhoades from speakeasy. I mistakenly ordered the 4 pin, but needed the 5-pin version. They were beyond gracious and helpful. The box from them that I use now is built like a tank and quiet. This company makes a good product and has great business ethics. Thanks a lot for your help.

No Model 18 Leslie ever had a 1/4″ jack from the factory. There should be a small metal chassis with the following facing the “outside world”: A 5 pole male Leslie connector, power switch, pilot lamp, fuse holder, and a “grip” that holds the power cord. Facing the interior of the cabinet there should be a 5 pole female socket, into which a 5 pole plug is inserted. That 5 pole plug has wires that run to the motors and speaker.
Since the unit is modified, I have no way to know for sure what you need. I might be able to determine this if you send me some pictures of the inside and outside of the metal box. You can send them to ted@speakeasyvintagemusic.com and I’ll try to figure it out.

Yes it will operate your 145, cutoff the internal sim, and that 11 pin connection will be the only one you need.

I have been using a Hammond XB2 (version 2) in place of my “3″ because most of the stages have limited room. The XB2 is being run through a Leslie 145 by way of the 1/4″ line out jack. The problem is; I need to disable the internal leslie and by what I have read, the internal leslie is only disabled by using the 11 pin output. By using the SE-PSV1147 interface with the 11 pin output for conversion over to 6 pin, will a pre-amp be necessary or does the XB2 send a pre-amped signal through the 11 pin output. I will purchase the interface if it will work.
Thank you for a speedy reply.
Sincerely,
Steve Davis
