So far, Ive tried my Speakeasy Classic on : Voce V3, Voce v5+, Viscount op3, . The results were very good. Yesterday, I used it with my new axe, the Nord C2 on a gig. It is on the Nord that I heard the most significant improvement ( compared to it's native sound, which is already outstanding) I received a lot of comments on how improved the sound was over it's clonewheel predesers . (sic ? who gives a hoot in hell.) I also now have a Speakeasy Shotglass with Barker unit that i got used off ebay. On Steve's suggestions, i decided to use that for my digital piano. I'm sure that'll sound great as well, once i get it out of storage, & dialed in.

FYI:

There are usually another set of 4 numbers printed on the right side of lower harp(the part closest to the keys ). The number on the top part of the harp is the start date of the piano. The numbers on the lower part of the harp are the completion date of the piano...which usually took about 3 weeks. Those numbers are read differently. The first two digits are the manufacture week, the third number is the last digit of the year, and the last of the four numbers are the day of the week; 1=Monday, 2=Tuesday, ect. thru Friday; ex. I have a 1977 Suitcase, the upper number being 0877...which means that the piano was started in the eighth manufacture week (08) of 1977 (77). The lowe number on my piano is 1175, so my piano was completed the 11th manufacture week (11), of 1977 (7), and on a Friday (5). I thought the info might be helpful.

I hooked up my vintage tube pre amp pedal last night & was STAGGERED ! I first hooked it up into my VOCE V3 (with drawbar module) It worked best with the EFFECTS OUT rather than HEADPHONE out or Audio out. I really want to try it with my newly aquired OB3 SQUARED MODULE, but due to a MIDI glitch I can't get any sound out of the module.

In the meantime....the Speakeasy SCREAMS ! Steve Hayes should get the same kind of recognition as people like Dave Amels, & such. SMOKIN' !
