‘m truly saddened. Steve was an interesting character, and like most of us organ folk, very passionate about all things clone, and pushing the state of the art further. I was Steve’s guinea pig on a number of projects, some even at my behest!, and he was awesome about being there any time of day or nite to help troubleshoot whatever problems I was having, even if it was gear I hadn’t bought from him, although there was plenty of it that I had. I had last talked to Steve a couple weeks ago, and he was still on the odyssey for the perfect tone with the most convenience, and of course had nailed that down to everything but the keyboard.
Shit.
You will be missed my friend.
RIP Steve,
The Hammond and Hammond clone community mourns the loss of a Kindred spirit . Thanks for all the hard work and great products. You will be missed. I will always use my SVP as I have for several years.
Absolute best regards,
Jeffrey H. Goodman
I’m so saddened by this news. Not only was Steve a genius at creating Hammond related products, he truly understood the meaning of ‘excellent customer service’. Always answered my calls right away. I have a SVM Tube pre-amp, a SVM ‘junction box’ to run 2 Leslies from a B-3, and a Leslie 122 I bought from Speakeasy. Also, Steve sold me components to convert a 21-H to 122 specs and took old parts from 21-H in on trade. I bought a Roadbox speaker that didn’t work out for me. Steve took it back immediately with no questions asked and gave full refund.
My condolences to all Steve’s family and co-workers.

I was truly shocked when I found out only today that Steve has passed away. He will be sadly missed. Rest in peace.
My condolences to his family.

I just learned this evening of Steve’s passing. Though I never met him in-person, I have exchanged E-mails with him from time-to-time as he helped me with a few Leslie related purchases. Please know that I, just like MANY others out here, am grateful that guys like Steve have come our way.
Thanks for sharing him with all of us and for supporting him to build the legacy that will remain for quite some time.
Much love from Chicago!
Will from Soul Fruit Electronics here. So sorry to hear about your loss. Steve and I spent many hours on the phone talking gear and I’ll miss his approach to doing things right.
Hi, I am sorry for your loss. Steve as many have pointed out was A++++ with customer service. I will never forget get how his units helped get me the “Hammond Sound” from my rig.
